We had an amazing time inspiring people to chase their dream, no matter what at this year’s Sky Sports British Masters, and want to say a huge thank you to all of you who came to visit our Bridgestone activations.
Our Tee Off challenge - allowing fans to test their accuracy and compete for a chance to play a round of golf with our ambassador Charley Hull - proved immensely popular with children and adults alike. In fact, the second highest score was set by a 10-year old – clearly a player to watch! (The ten top scores will be treated to a day of golf, involving conditioning training, tips on technique, and of course a round of golf with the Olympian herself).
Our tent in the Championship Village was buzzing with activity all week, and those who made it out to the tournament on Thursday got a chance to chat to our ambassadors, Olympic legend Daley Thompson, and Rio 2016 gold medallist in diving, Chris Mears. Talking about motivation, their Olympic heroes and the most memorable days of their sporting careers, our two ambassadors also had some advice for those dreaming of sporting greatness themselves. After a live Q&A session, Daley even tried his hand at the Tee Off challenge and stuck around for a while to provide advice and support for fans trying their hands at the game.
Our Dream Wall was also popular with visitors, and both Chris and Daley stopped by to record the dream they are continuing to chase.
For those following the tournament from the 18th hole, our Focus Challenge was a great opportunity to step into the shoes of pro golfers, and experience some of the pressures of competition. Keeping your focus and achieving a hole in one whilst being distracted by the noise of a cheering crowd, a buzzing phone, or a police siren was no easy feat!
