If you can overcome one obstacle, what else are you capable of achieving?
Chris Mears went on to become an Olympic champion, despite overcoming a life-threatening illness. And now he wants to help 9 people overcome an obstacle of their own, by showing them how to chase their dream with an Olympic mindset.
Chris will train with the group and run alongside them in a 10km race at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park this September.
The 9 Everyday Battlers began their journey just a stone’s throw away from where so many dreams had been realised, the Olympic Stadium in London. Here, they met and trained with Chris Mears and received mental coaching from former Olympian and sports scientist, Greg Whyte OBE.
They also took part in a full physical exam, effort testing, specialist running training and were provided with a personalised running plan to set them on track towards achieving their goal.
In the coming months, each of the battlers will follow their own personalised training plan, with regular check-ins from Chris, Greg and a coaching team to ensure they have all the tools and support they need to stay on track towards their dream of completing the 10km race in September.
